New sustainable office and commercial building in Prague
EQOS Energie delivers the complete technical building services of the 26,000 m2 office and business complex.
In the Czech Republic, EQOS Energie received the contract from the S + B Gruppe AG for the LEED Platinum (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified construction of an ultra-modern building complex. A 26,000 m2 office and commercial space with over 650 underground parking spaces will be built by the end of 2017 in Prague 4, Pankrac, one of the best business areas in the city. The comprehensive construction of the largest project for EQOS Energie so far in the Czech Republic will start in mid April 2016.
EQOS Energie will take over the layout and complete technical building services of the sustainably constructed complex with an order volume of around EUR 7.5 million. This also includes the installation of heating, ventilation and sanitary systems as well as provision of low and high-voltage power. “The special thing about the project is the LEED Platinum certification of the building, which is the highest rating from the U.S. Green Building Council,” said Martin Horak, Managing Director of EQOS Energie in the Czech Republic. This means that the building is particularly efficient in terms of resources, uses less water and energy, and has reduced greenhouse emissions.
The construction projects DECO and ELEMENT, which have already been approved, are an essential part of the new development in what is probably the last large development area in Prague. The area around the Panorama Hotel, with the lively Arkadia shopping center and the impressive Empiria and City Tower office towers, is also known as the “Pentagon” and “Little Manhattan.”
